Pinatubo Trek

Some facts about the trip:
Starting point Capas, brgy St Juliana
Driving time from AC Around 1 hr (at 5 am in the morning)
Time to start the trail Between 6 am and 8 am
Driving time in Jeep to start hiking Around 45 min - nice and scenic  ride but rough and bumpy
Hiking time to crater Around 2 hours - The hike is slightly uphill for the first 1.5 hours over rocks, sandy roads and small streams but the last 20 to 30 min goes quite steep up to the top of the crater.
Hiking back Around 1hr 45 min
Costs (on the basis on 5 pax) Entrance, guide and conservation fees P550  per head (fixed)

Rental of 4x4 including driver around P4000 (slightly negotiable)

Other Info No need to book in advance, just show up at St Juliana between 6 am and 8 am (You cannot leave later)

Bring:

  • hiking shoes or strong slippers
  • sunscreen
  • water
  • some food/snacks

Nobody is allowed to swim in crater for health reasons
